Hi there! I'm Chelsea Glass (pronouns: she/her/they). I'm a long-time resident of Collierville, TN. Before moving to Collierville I lived in Memphis. Shelby County has always been my home. I've been in advocacy for nearly a decade. I'm an ordinary person who wears many hats. I'm a wife, and parent of two, I'm a disabled, working-class person who has faced many of the same challenges you have faced. I'm a product of Collierville Schools and my kids will be too. My family has two dogs, Duke and Titan, and a cat named Paco.
I care deeply about education and the school environment. Even more so, I care deeply for our youth and the adults in the schools who support them. I believe that we are all intricately connected and what happens to one of us, affects all of us. I want to ensure our youth's parents feel supported and heard. Schools should be the second safest place for our children outside of the home. It is paramount that Black, Brown, and LGBTQAI+ communities are supported in our schools. I want to build a world where everyone is safe, cared for, and healthy. It starts here, in our hometown. Will you join me?
